To strengthen the company’s security prevention and control measures, enhance its ability to respond effectively to sudden unauthorized intrusions, and safeguard the safety of employees and company property, Huanggang Meifeng Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. conducted an anti-terrorism and riot-control emergency drill for unauthorized personnel entering the premises on the afternoon of April 27 at the No. 1 gate of the factory area. Liu Qiao, Deputy General Manager of the company, Wan Xiaopan, Director of Safety and Environmental Protection, and relevant staff from the Safety and Environmental Protection Department, Human Resources Department, and Administrative Management Department member, member of the company’s emergency rescue team, and Ruidun Security Company Relevant officials and all security personnel participated in the drill.

Prior to the drill, staff from Ruidun Security Services provided on-site instruction on the practical application of the standard eight-piece police equipment kit, while also clearly outlining the objectives and procedures for this exercise. Wan Xiaopan, Director of Safety and Environmental Protection, issued specific instructions for the drill, stressing that it must be realistic and conducted with utmost seriousness and rigor, so as to effectively enhance preventive capabilities through practice.

Despite a light rain falling across the area, enthusiasm for the drill remained undiminished. Upon the commentator’s announcement that the exercise was underway, the simulated scenario closely mirrored real-world conditions: three individuals posing as outsiders attempted to enter without registering; when the gate security guard stepped forward to intervene, they were met with refusal, followed by escalating emotions and physical shoving. The guard promptly called for backup from the team leader, who arrived on the scene but was unable to de-escalate the situation. At that point, the intruders drew sharp weapons and began shouting threats, bringing the confrontation to the brink of full-blown violence.

The security team leader promptly reported the incident up the chain of command. Deputy General Manager Liu Qiao directed operations remotely, instructing the Logistics Manager to notify on-duty cadres and cadres from the Safety and Environmental Protection Department to report to the scene, and to dial 110 to alert the police. Upon arrival, the Logistics Manager proceeded to counsel the other party. After the suspect laid down the weapon, negotiations failed. Subsequently, on-duty cadres and personnel from the Safety and Environmental Protection Department, in coordination with security staff, formed an anti-riot team. Using shields, steel forks, and other equipment, they successfully subdued the primary suspect and handed him over to simulated police officers. The entire response process was swift, standardized, and well-organized, bringing the drill to a successful conclusion.

Following the drill, Director Wang of the Safety and Environmental Protection Department provided a review. He commended the drill’s effectiveness but pointed out shortcomings such as some personnel’s lack of proficiency in using equipment and an insufficiently serious attitude during the exercise. He instructed the Administrative Management Department to conduct a thorough review and implement corrective measures to strengthen the safety defense.

Finally, Deputy General Manager Liu Qiao delivered a concluding address, expressing gratitude to all participants, emphasizing the practical significance of the drill, identifying areas for improvement, and calling for continued vigilance on safety, enhanced emergency response capabilities, and greater collaborative efforts in prevention and control, so as to provide a solid safety guarantee for the company’s stable production and operations.

This emergency drill further refined the company’s contingency plan and effectively enhanced the ability of all departments to collaboratively respond to emergencies. Moving forward, Huanggang Meifeng will conduct various safety and emergency drills on a regular basis, continuously identify and address gaps, and strengthen the company’s safety prevention and control safeguards.
