Specialized Training on On-Site Management and Quality Improvement

To further strengthen all employees’ awareness of quality and cost control, consolidate the foundation of on-site management, and enhance the level of production process control, the Human Resources Department of Huanggang Meifeng Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. organized a specialized training session on “Practical Approaches to On-Site Management and Quality Improvement” on April 22. The session was delivered by Mr. Song, an intermediate-level internal trainer, and was marked by a lively classroom atmosphere. Employees from various roles—including workshop team leaders, workshop supervisors, production managers, college graduates, and QA personnel from the Quality Assurance Department—actively participated, demonstrating a strong enthusiasm for learning on site.

During the training, Director Song emphasized the importance of on-site management as the cornerstone of safety management, grounding his presentation in both quality awareness and cost consciousness. He stressed the need to cultivate a systematic quality mindset, remain customer-centric, strengthen organization-wide engagement, refine energy consumption management, and leverage data to identify and analyze issues. By harnessing data-driven management, organizations can achieve process control, closely monitor critical parameters and fluctuations in output, and thereby accurately assess production dynamics.

Centering on the core principle of quality improvement, Director Song provided an in-depth explanation of total quality management and enterprise-wide systems management. He emphasized that every employee should regard colleagues in downstream processes or subsequent stages as “customers,” adopt a downstream-oriented mindset when addressing issues, promptly communicate any abnormalities, and proactively provide support to the next stage. At the same time, he advocated for self-reflection and root-cause analysis, discouraging subjective judgment, pursuing continuous improvement, and establishing a reverse-feedback mechanism.
 

At the methodological and tooling level, Director Song highlighted the PDCA cycle—as the shortest-cycle and most effective optimization tool—emphasizing that, following process optimization, it is essential to review and analyze the outcomes of implementation to close the loop. He also introduced the seven basic tools of quality control, likening them to a “data-driven Swiss Army knife,” underscoring that data is the key to quality improvement.

In terms of on-site management, Director Song proposed a tiered approach to organization, execution, and implementation, with a clear focus on key priorities. For rotating equipment, timely cleaning and maintenance must be carried out during operation; for stationary equipment such as storage tanks and pumps, assigned personnel must ensure that scheduled maintenance is performed within the established intervals. He emphasized that only by integrating theory with practice can on-site management be truly streamlined and optimized.

The entire training session was packed with valuable, actionable content, combining high-level theoretical insights with practical, hands-on guidance. Participants unanimously reported that the training had clarified the direction and methods for quality improvement, and that they would apply the tools and principles they learned to their day-to-day work going forward.

This training not only strengthened all employees’ awareness of quality and on-site management, but also fostered a proactive commitment to “all-staff collaboration and empowerment of the front line,” thereby injecting new momentum into the company’s ongoing pursuit of high-quality development.
