Safe production is a priority in the chemical industry. It is the cornerstone and enduring challenge for enterprises to achieve high-quality development. To fully implement the national work plan for Safety Production Month, we will further strengthen safety accountability, identify and address potential risks and hazards, and fortify our safety defenses. On June 4, Hubei Meikai Chemical successfully held the launch ceremony for the 2026 “Safety Production Month,” marking the official start of this year’s series of safety‑production‑month activities.
This Safety Month is themed “Everyone Talks Safety, Everyone Knows How to Respond to Emergencies—” With the theme of “Identifying and Rectifying Risks and Hazards,” the focus is on three areas: safety education, hazard remediation, and emergency preparedness enhancement. Core focus. Moving forward, the company will coordinate and implement safety training, emergency response drills, job‑skill competitions, and company‑wide safety commitment initiatives, among other measures. A series of measures have been implemented to continuously strengthen the foundation of safety management and enhance the safety awareness of all employees as well as their on-site emergency response capabilities.
At the launch ceremony, Minister Zhu of the Safety and Environmental Protection Department read out the “Implementation Plan for the 2026 Safety Production Month Activities,” outlining the month’s key priorities, critical timelines, and responsibility assignments. The plan further details arrangements for safety training, emergency response drills, skills competitions, and other initiatives, ensuring that all activities are carried out in an orderly manner and yield tangible results.
Subsequently, the company’s safety officer General Manager Nie outlined the work plan in light of the current safety production landscape. He noted that, as evidenced by the evolving themes of Safety Month over the years, national efforts in workplace safety have transitioned from targeted campaigns and intensive remediation to a new, systematic phase characterized by collaborative governance involving all employees, source‑level prevention, and enhanced emergency response capabilities, with safety management principles continuing to deepen. With ongoing technological advancements, continuous standard upgrades, and increasingly stringent requirements, the core principle of “safety first, life above all” remains unchanged, regardless of how the topics evolve. All personnel must stay aligned with policy directions and continually refine their safety management mindset.
General Manager Liu delivered a mobilization address, outlining three clear requirements for Safety Month: First, all employees must strictly adhere to job‑specific SOPs, standardize operational practices, and eliminate safety hazards at their source. Second, led by the Safety and Environmental Protection Department and leveraging the opportunity presented by the establishment of a safety expert panel, the company will address management gaps and comprehensively elevate its professional, precision‑driven safety management capabilities. Third, we will deepen every employee’s commitment to safety responsibilities, encouraging proactive participation in safety oversight; any identified hazards must be reported promptly and rectified without delay, fostering a workplace culture of collective accountability and collaborative prevention. In addition, General Manager Liu expressed his best wishes for the successful implementation of this year’s Safety Production Month activities.
At the ceremony, safety awareness and education activities were organized. By analyzing typical industry accident cases and reviewing management shortcomings, all employees were encouraged to deeply learn from these incidents, ensuring they understand the risks, adhere to regulations, and prevent accidents.
At the conclusion of the event, all attendees… The employees lined up in neat formation and solemnly took an oath, using resolute words to reaffirm their commitment to upholding safety and fulfilling their duties with dedication. Following the oath, each participant carefully signed the safety pledge banner, vowing in writing to make safety responsibility a deeply held conviction and a guiding principle in their actions.
The successful launch of this Safety Production Month event has further aligned thinking, clarified objectives, and reinforced accountability. Moving forward, Hubei Meikai Chemical will earnestly implement all specialized activities planned for Safety Month and continue to deepen efforts to identify and address potential hazards. Conduct inspections and remediation, strengthen emergency response capabilities, and reinforce grassroots safety management, thereby ensuring the company’s safe production remains stable and continues to improve.
