On October 16, Huanggang Meifeng Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. successfully held a special training session for mid- and high-level management cadres for the third quarter of 2025. The training was themed "Human Resource Management for Non-Human Resources Managers" and aimed to strengthen department heads' awareness of team management and talent development, thereby driving managers to transform and upgrade from "business leaders" to "team enablers." The training was led by Chen Shengqi, a senior management expert from an external consultancy, and was attended by staff from all companies under Hubei Meifeng Group, fostering the sharing and exchange of management experiences.

From “business backbone” to “team coach”—reshaping the perception of management roles

In his opening remarks, Liu Qiao, Deputy General Manager of the company, emphasized that managers should not only achieve business objectives but also serve as “coaches” and “empowerers” for their teams. He pointed out: “Our goal is to evolve from being ‘key business players’ to ‘team coaches,’ and from being ‘Zhuge Liangs who do everything themselves’ to ‘Liu Beis who nurture more Zhuge Liangs.’” This philosophy resonated deeply with the managers present and set the tone for the training—“people-oriented and focused on empowering the team.”

Systematically learn the human resource management framework and enhance the team’s practical capabilities.

This training session revolves around four core modules: “selection, development, utilization, and retention.” Drawing on his more than twenty years of practical experience in corporate management and consulting, Teacher Chen Shengqi systematically explains the following content through case analysis, scenario simulations, and interactive Q&A sessions:

Precise Talent Selection: Introduce the STAR interview method, competency model development, and standardized interview procedures to enhance managers' accuracy in talent selection.

Scientific Talent Development: This session will explain the systematic approach—from analyzing training needs and providing on-the-job coaching to translating results into tangible outcomes. Chen Shengqi specifically pointed out that the company has established a talent-development system covering the entire career lifecycle of its employees. At the heart of this system are the “mentorship program” for new hires, the “mentorship system” for college students, the development of an internal trainer team, and a certification assessment mechanism—forming a closed-loop management system for talent cultivation.

Effective Talent Utilization: Enhance team execution and work motivation through empowerment management, performance feedback, and diversified incentive strategies.

Retain Talent with Heart: Systematically build a talent retention mechanism by integrating employee engagement analysis, career development path design, and proactive prevention of turnover risks.

During the training, several managers actively participated in interactive sessions such as “Mock Recruitment Interviews,” “Effective Talent Development,” and “Work Assignment and Delegation Management.” Through hands-on practice, they mastered key communication and feedback techniques, and the atmosphere at the scene was lively and enthusiastic.

As the company continues to expand in size and its management complexity keeps increasing, the human resource management capabilities of mid- and senior-level managers have become a critical factor underpinning the organization’s development. This training not only provides systematic knowledge empowerment but also represents an important practice by Huanggang Meifeng Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. in talent development and organizational capacity building. Moving forward, the company will continue to strengthen the development of its management pipeline, injecting sustained momentum into high-quality growth.
